What the checks mean

Consent Mode default before the Google tag. Google’s tags read the consent default when they load. If the default is set afterwards, the tag has already fired without instructions. More on Consent Mode v2 on Shopify.

Consent Mode v2 flags. ad_user_data and ad_personalization, required for Google Ads in the EEA since March 2024.

Shopify Customer Privacy API. The signal Shopify’s own pixels and the Google and Meta sales channels obey. A banner that skips it is decoration.

Duplicate tags. Two Google tags or two Meta pixels on one page means a consent app injected its own copy. Why that halves or doubles your conversions.
